Hi, my name is Blair Nance and I will be with the graduating class of 2022. I played middle school 7th and 8th grade, then travel ball after my 8th grade season. I played JV my freshman and sophomore years, and varsity my junior and senior years. I have continued to play travel ball following each season, and also played sand volleyball over the summer the last two years, to help me maintain my skills. I am very passionate about the game of volleyball and have worked extremely hard to be the best player I can be. I am very coachable and a great encourager to my teammates. I have played majority of my seasons of volleyball at middle hitter, but transitioned to outside hitter at the end of my junior volleyball season, and thrived (37 kills in three state tournament games). This past summer I also started doing personal workouts, three times a week, to get in better shape for the upcoming season, and have continued those workouts since. I believe that has payed huge dividends for me. I was recruited for and scheduled to play in Spain in June 2021 for America's Team - 2021 Team Southeast Spain Volleyball (This trip was postponed to 2022 due to Covid restrictions with Spain).
I currently maintain a 3.8 gpa, am very active in my community, volunteering at Mt. Zion UMC in Hurdle MIlls, NC, Roots and Wings (a local human services organization) in Roxboro, NC, and Person County Relay for Life. I am also a member of the Key club at Person County High School. I also have recently started coaching youth recreation volleyball, 10 year old young ladies, and am enjoying being able to "give back" to volleyball, as it has given me so much over the years.
I have registered with both the NCAA and NAIA for eligibility.
I am interested in Criminal Justice for a course of study.
I would love to get an opportunity to show at the next level what I am capable of!
