Personal Statement
Sports have been a part of my life since I can remember along with growing up in a ranching family. I think that with these two influences they have taught me the value of hard work. They have also taught me to be disciplined, self motivated, and respectful in my everyday life. With my studies, I have been able to keep a 3.9 or higher GPA all through high school while being a three sport athlete. I take my studies very seriously and don't accept anything but the best for myself. I know that I will apply this same principle with my college studies. I plan to pursue a degree in the medical field. I find it interesting and a career that would challenge me.
Growing up I was all about basketball so volleyball has been a surprising sport for me. I have an awesome coach that pushes me hard to be the best player and teammate that I can. I started out as an 8th grader serving for the varsity team, then grew into the setter position as a freshman, and then moved into the defensive specialist position during my sophomore year. I will finish the next two years of my varsity career as the libero. I've enjoyed learning all of these positions and do believe they have made me a better all around player. I'm looking forward to continuing to work hard and improve my skills for my team and myself. I'm excited to bring these same qualities to the college level.
