Personal Statement
Hi, my name is Stephanie Ziegler. I started playing volleyball in the 1st grade when my two older sisters started to play volleyball in school as an organized sport. When I was younger, my volleyball would travel with me to school, my sister's tournaments, and even out to the lake. Starting out in the junior high, I enjoyed going to the high school volleyball camps and volleyball leagues much more than the junior high leveled ones. It was then that I began challenging myself to be not only the best volleyball player, but the best athlete I could be. As a freshman, I was a starter on the varsity team and played all around the court for every game as a left hitter and a left back. I also was a starter on the varsity team when I was a sophomore. Occasionally, I would play a couple rotations in the middle front and middle back. In 2013 as a sophomore, I was named to the all-region team of Super-Region 7. This year, as a junior, I was once again a starter on the varsity team and our team advanced to the North Dakota state volleyball tournament. I was named to the all-region team and also the all-state team.
Now that I look back on how far I have come and what I have accomplished, it makes me even more excited and determined to challenge myself even more and tackle my ultimate goals. I cannot see my volleyball career ending when I graduate high school, I am looking to play volleyball in college. I work hard in all that I do: athletics and academics. I am a three-sport athlete and a 4.0 honor roll student. I show leadership on the court and off the court. I am a very coachable athlete and I value the advice I can get to becoming a better volleyball player. When I have a goal, I will do everything I possibly can to meet that goal and nothing can possibly get in my way. Anything is worth it if I put the extra effort into it. If you have an questions, please feel free to contact me by my information above. Thank you for reading!
