Personal Statement
My name is Bailey Munson. I am a 5'5" libero and defensive specialist. I am a 2022 high school graduate from Thompson High School in North Dakota. My goal is to continue my education and to get the opportunity to play volleyball at the next level. A little more about myself in regards to volleyball - I love passing balls, controlling the pass off of a dig, and if needed - a lay-out dig. The thing that motivates me the most in volleyball is the competition and being able to get to the balls that people may think would be impossible. Even after the completion of this 2021 season, I continue to work out - weights, endurance running, and agility training. I am vocal on the court which I believe has earned me the spot of team captain. I'm focused on pushing my teammates, encouraging them, discussing changes in plays, and mentoring our younger teammates. My work ethic is at the top of my list and I am constantly spending my time reviewing film. A big part of volleyball would be constructive criticism which helps me learn, grow, and improve. On top of that, one thing that I think helped me get where I am is the respect I am able to show coaches, teammates, and refs.
