Personal Statement

Hi, my name is Gracia Tong. My preferred position to play is outside hitter but I also like to play back row or right side. Some traits that make me a good candidate for your team and separate me from other recruits are: I'm coachable and adjust my techniques based on feedback that I get; I am a team player and supportive of my teammates; I don't give up, and I am very passionate about volleyball. Some ways I'm different academically are that academics come easily to me, I push myself to do my best, and I am very organized when it comes to studying and time management. In athletics just like academics, I always push myself to do my best and to be constantly improving. I do this by being involved in the optional off-season workouts and training that my school offers. Some of the goals I hope to achieve at the collegiate level are playing on a more competitive level and to play with others who share the same passion as I have for volleyball. I hope that you consider me for your team.
