Morgan Oberle '19 Recruiting Profile

I was never an outgoing child, I stuck to what I knew and didn’t branch out. So in the seventh grade when the chance to play volleyball arose, I was very scared to tryout. I didn't know the game, the coaches, or players. My parents had to force me to attend tryouts and I went in thinking I would absolutely hate it - I was wrong. I fell in love with the sport and have loved it ever since. Looking back on that experience, I am so unbelievably thankful for that push into a sport I now know I couldn’t live without.

The game of volleyball has impacted my life in ways I could never of imagined. It encourages me to believe in myself and trust in others, while pushing me to stay active and better myself physically. The sport perfectly suits my drive for success and determination in everything I do on and off the court. Shown through both my playing and academics I am always working to improve and expand my horizons. I believe by playing at the collegiate level I can achieve my goals of fully developing my skills, to be a contributing member of a driven team, and obtain a fulfilling education.
