Personal Statement
At this stage of the game, I am undecided about what I want to major in when I enter college, but I am leaning toward education. I really feel like I am a good fit for a college team because I am a strong leader and have a very positive attitude. As a sophomore, I received the "Coach's Award, and "All Conference Award" that reflected these characteristics. I am also the type of person who is self-motivated, and will work until I get things right. This is true on the court, but even more importantly off the court, in the classroom. So, why would a coach pick me over another player? Everyone in this position is going to say that they love volleyball, and I am no different in that line. Where I differ is that I am confident, but also humble, and coach-able. I am very competitive, but also have the best interests of the team in mind. As a leader, I am willing to listen, but also speak up and help to guide the team's focus. I look forward to having the opportunity to play at the next level and contribute toward the goal of a successful collegiate experience.
