Coming into freshman year volleyball was a defining moment for me, both as an athlete and a person. After six years of homeschooling, I was incredibly nervous to go to high school, and knew almost no one that would be in my classes. What made me realize I was in the right place was my MNDVB family. Right away, I was welcomed and made a part of the family, and went into my classes to see half my team smiling back at me. It wasn't always the big-winning games that made us a family- it was the sisterhood. The hours in the locker room, the days of practice, coming to know and love my teammates. This is why I want to continue my athletic career in college, for my love of the game and my love of the family it can create.
