Personal Statement
My parents are divorced, and my mom has raised me for the last eight years of my life. My family has had to sacrifice luxuries to send me to a Christian school where I can play volleyball to glorify God in all that he has gifted me with. I have learned many life lessons at my school, and one of them is striving to be your absolute best in all you do to reach your full potential. Not only has my school taught me life lessons, but also volleyball. Volleyball has taught me how to be an unselfish team player and leader. Because of these skills, I am the president of my class, and first academically. In high school, I hope to achieve a 4.0 grade point average all four years. In college, I hope to be in the top ten percent of my class.
I became interested in volleyball the summer at a volleyball camp going into eighth grade. I love the sport because I find my true inner character. It shows my competitive nature and my leadership skills in times where I need them most. I hope that i will be able to bring that nature to college with me.
