Personal Statement
My name is Emma Scott, and I am a junior in high school. I have been playing volleyball for seven years, starting in fourth grade. I have always been interested in volleyball, and I really enjoy watching college and national volleyball on TV since I was in seventh grade. Since I was a freshman in high school, I have been starting varsity for volleyball. I have played two years as a defensive specialist and one year as the varsity setter. In my junior year of varsity volleyball as a setter, I was number one in my conference with assists, and I finished the season as second team All-Conference, and third team All-District 6. While playing volleyball, I have learned that I am a hardworking, coachable, cooperative, and competitive player. I give it my all when I am out on the court, and I am always open to improving my skills. Academically, I am just as hardworking, with a 4.0 GPA and currently ranked first in my class, and I am taking a great deal of college courses. In high school, I have a short-term goal of maintaining my GPA and to keep working hard. In college, I have a goal of keeping a good GPA and working towards going to med school. For now, I plan to continue playing travel volleyball and high school volleyball, and I will keep working hard and improving my skills.
