Personal Statement
I have always loved sports. Training and competing are significant parts of who I am. Regardless of where my path in life leads me, I am confident that sports will always be part of my life.
As a high school freshman, I was fortunate to earn three varsity letters (Volleyball, Swimming, and Track). Earning a starting spot on my high school volleyball team, however, was the highlight of my freshman year. I was also thrilled to be named as a Firelands Conference Scholar Athlete. Our team won the conference but unfortunately was upset in the District tournament (we only lost two seniors and my teammates and I are highly motivated for the coming school year!).
I have played volleyball for my school since 5th grade, and have played five seasons for a travel team through the Northshore Volleyball Club. Club highlights include 3rd place at the JVA Worlds ( 15U, Louisville, 2018); and 2016 and 2018 2nd Place finishes at the Ohio Valley Region championship tournament, along with a long series of tournament victories.
I strive to be a good teammate and enjoy the relationships and camaraderie of working with a motivated group of people working towards a common goal.
I missed all of the 2019 season due to a knee injury, but I spent nearly a year in an intense physical therapy program (including private training), and I returned to the court with tenacity in 2020, stronger than ever. I also swim and run competitively, and I was fortunate to have access to state-of-the-art training/rehab facilities.
