Lauren Bentley '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Lauren Bentley and I'm in the graduating class of 2023.  I am interested in finding a college or university where I can be comfortable to grow my academic and athletic opportunities.  I have always been strong academically and was the only student in my grade school to receive straight A's from 1st grade through 8th grade.  I have continued that approach in high school and currently carry a 4.25 GPA with an honors course in math.  I have been a student ambassador and plan to be in peer ministry at my high school.

I started playing volleyball when I was 9 and have played on the top national team at my clubs, with multiple top 10 rankings and qualifying for USA Volleyball Junior Nationals multiple times.  For the last 2 years I've had the opportunity to play volleyball at Padua Franciscan High School, making varsity as a Sophomore.  We were ranked #1 in the nation for 2 years and finished last season as State runners-up and a #2 national ranking.  Throughout my volleyball career I have had the chance to play at a high level against some of the best teams in the country.  Volleyball has taught me about hard work, success, failure, adversity and made me realize how much I love the sport.  I'd love the chance to play at a higher level and continue to grow as a person and student athlete.
