Kimberly Claridge '20 Recruiting Profile

For as long as I can remember obtaining love for this sport, I have always wanted to be able to play at the collegiate level. Since I was a young girl, I would always watch the Olympics or college matches that would be on TV. It felt like I was learning so much from them. I respected them because they were once in my shoes. They have grown so much physically, but especially mentally.  Volleyball has helped me define myself into who I am today and helped me grown mentally, physically, and socially. Being a student athlete is challenging at times but getting good grades is crucial for impressions. I always try my best to make my teammates, coaches, parents, and especially myself proud. The volleyball court is my stress reliever and I enjoy every moment on the court. 

To start with my high school seasons, I had a very fun freshman year on the JV team being a setter. I even also got to hit and set a little bit on Varsity.  As I was lettering my freshman year, I entered into my sophomore year being on the varsity team full time and lettered again. During my JO season, we had a very successful season, winning OVR Finals and 3 other tournaments.  I am now just entering my junior year with my high school team, healthier and stronger than ever.
