Hi, I'm Harriet Theise. I am interested in majoring in Special Education. I will be a good addition to your team because whether I'm on the court or the bench I will always be encouraging and have a smile on my face. I will always give 110% effort and can transform quickly when given directions. I have been playing indoor volleyball since I was 12 and beach volleyball since I was 13. The summer before my sophmore year I had the opportunity to play beach volleyball in Israel through the Maccabi USA program. I was one of four girls chosen to play and find the experience the highlight of my volleyball career so far. Going into this tryout I had just been cleared to play from an injury. I cracked my tibia and had a sprained ankle, I was out for most of freshman volleyball. Despite having to overcome an injury, I feel I learned more about myself and grew as a person. I learned how to sit on the sidelines and still be very involved in the game by cheering and keeping teammates upbeat. One of my goals for high school is to earn an honors diploma. I will work very hard towards this goal until I see this through. I also maintain above a 4.0 GPA and take academics very seriously. I have been on the high honor roll throughout my high school career. I have also been accepted into the National Student Leadership Convention.
