It took me a long time to finally decide if I want to pursue my career as a volleyball player. After having a lot of time to evaluate my future and what I want to do with my life I have decided that I don't think it's quite time to put away my jerseys or knee pads. I have played volleyball since 7th grade and was told back then that I had a special talent in the back-row. The first four years of playing I played for a winning team, the McComb Panthers, I went to state with them my sophmore year but was just a DS. We moved to Van Buren the summer of my junior year and I was libero ever since then. I had to sit out of the first half of the season due to open enrollment but once I could play I had better stats than most of the girls in our conference, in just a half season. Volleyball has been my passion ever since the first practice as a 7th grader in those "turtle" knee pads and knee high socks. It has been my escape from stress and just life problems that I had been going through from a head injury my 8th grade year that had caused me to have psychogenic pseudo-seizures. I have been seizure free now for over a year and a half and have accomplished so much in my career in volleyball and as a student also. I am a hard working student and focus on my studies as one of my first priorities. I have changed what I want to do for a living multiple times but am almost positive on my decision in majoring in Criminology/Psychology. I have always been drawn to the Criminal Minds kinds of shows and always have been intrigued by psychology and how your brain and cognitive thinking can change so much about the way people think or feel. Thank you for your time and interest in me and helping me pursue my career and what I love to do most.
