Personal Statement
I look forward to continuing to play volleyball in college and know that I will be a positive addition to which ever college that I choose to play. I am of course looking for the right fit and am open to traveling out of the State of Oklahoma. I have played volleyball since I was old enough to walk. My aunt, Iris Simmons was known in the State of Oklahoma as a leading advocate of the sport and dedicated her life to teaching the sport. I learned the game by going to camps and helping put on camps when Iris was teaching skills to others around the State. Cement HighSchool with a ADM of 72.93 plays at the 3A level. I have led my HighSchool team to the State Tournament my Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior Seasons. We were defeated the last two years by the #1 ranked team so I have played against good competition and know that I can be competitive at any level. After my Sophomore year I tried out for a Club Team (Charge South) and received a call from the coach on my drive home to say that he would like me to be a part of the team. After much consideration I felt like I couldn't let the basketball team down and elected to play basketball. I will being playing basketball again this season, but will continue to work on my volleyball skills throughout the year. I maintain a 4.0 grade point average and currently am enrolled in a Pre-Engineering program. I am competitive and look forward to growing my volleyball skills. I appreciate your time and your consideration. Feel free to contact me if you have interest or questions. I look forward to hearing from you.
