I was introduced to volleyball when I was nine, but didn't start playing until I was eleven. I have always had a passion for volleyball...watching it or playing it.
I see the game in a unique way. When I play, it feels like everything stops. I can see the open spots on the court and see through the block. I can read defenses and player tendencies quickly. Being able to see this gives me opportunities most players don't see; I adjust and help my team adjust quickly.
I am a leader on and off the court. I have played every position, making it easy for me to be there when the team needs me. I am very fast, and I have also run track, which is another advantage because my approach is fast, I have fast reflexes, and I can usually get balls back in play. My serving and passing games are also very strong.
I want to play in college to not only continue to my love for volleyball, but to also play at the level I have watched my whole life. Academics play a huge role in my life. My GPA is a representation of what priority school is to me and I strive to be challenged both in the classroom and on the court.
