As I have started my recruiting process, I've been reminiscing about when I had just started volleyball and how far I have come. From a young age I have loved sports. My favorite sport started off as basketball but my parents wanted me to try something new so they enrolled me to play in a little, not very competitive league, to see if i would like it. I automatically fell in love with the sport. I continued to play and tried out for my first club team at Oklahoma Peak Performance. I ended up making the 11-2's and from then on I have made a great effort to do my best and improve as much as I could. The next two years of my club experience I ended up making the 3's team and I felt discouraged because I wanted to be like the girls on the top team. I started private lessons and later tried out for the 14's age group. One coach saw so much potential in me and I will forever be grateful for the opportunity he gave me to be on the top team. Going from a 3's to a 1's team shows how hard I work to achieve my goals and how I will not give up. I think that's why I will be a great college athlete.
I am looking for a college that will challenge me both athletically and academically and help me grow as a person. I love to have fun with my teammates but will focus and try to bring the team together when we need it. I am very coachable because I love to do anything that would help me improve; I always think there is room for growth! I am so excited to start my recruiting process and look forward to a great college experience!
