ella carter '23 Recruiting Profile

 I started playing volleyball with the YMCA when I was nine years old. I soon fell in love with the sport and began my club volleyball career. I have developed so many great relationships with teammates and coaches over the last eight years. Volleyball has helped my confidence on and off the court. The first several years of playing, I was the smallest and youngest player on my club teams. In the last few years, I have grown taller, have continued to develop as a player, and have worked hard to be competitive with my peers. I would love to have the opportunity to continue my volleyball career at the collegiate level. I have experience both as an outside hitter and as a defensive specialist, and have been fortunate enough to play “all around” for my club team the last two years.  Having played multiple positions, I bring great knowledge of the game to the court. I practice and play with a high level of energy and feel comfortable as a team leader. I believe my sportsmanship, skills, coachability and knowledge would be an asset for any college team.
