Winning the Oklahoma 5A State Championship both my sophomore and junior year has been the highlight of my volleyball high school career. However, I feel I grew the most as a leader and a student-athlete when we lost the state championship my freshman year . That experience helped me grow as a leader as it helped me to realize that every game matters, teammates matter and each of us need to hold each other accountable every single point, every single game, and at every practice because once the game is over you can't go back and wish you would had worked harder in a practice or game.
I am very fortunate to have great coaches that push me to do my best not only in volleyball but also strive to be a better leader in my everyday life. Over the years I have learned as an athlete to never give up on your teammates, always be encouraging and uplifting to them, and never get down on yourself. I have also learned the value of cherishing the sport and the people around you. The people around you help push you to get better and help with your success. I am looking for a program that would not only help me athletically, but also academically. I believe I have not only the talent but the leadership and drive to play collegiately. I would have a great impact on your program, and believe I have what it takes to be a leader on your team.
