Personal Statement
I'm very passionate about volleyball and would love to pursue it at a high level, while attending a school with rigorous academics. I believe I'm a good fit for the setting position because I enjoy the challenges that come with it. Specifically, I'm fascinated by the mental aspect of quick decision making that is unique to the position. As a natural leader – captain of my club team as well as Athletics Prefect at school – I take on many responsibilities. I am very supportive of others and like to help in any way I can. That being said, I'm a driven and hardworking individual who will always give 100% and I expect the same commitment from my teammates. Thanks to my hard work, I have improved so much since the beginning of this year and I can't wait to see the level I will be playing at in just a few months!
I'm just as passionate about academics as I am about volleyball. My interest in math and science draws me to engineering. Problem solving and teamwork are facets common to both engineering and setting which could explain my attraction to them.
