Personal Statement
I have played almost every sport under the sun soccer, gymnastics, ballet, karate, and even swimming, nothing stuck; every single sport just felt like a task compared to an experience that I look forward to every day. That was until third grade when my parents convinced me to try out volleyball and needless to say I was skeptical at first after so many failed sports I expected it to flop. That was until I actually got on the court and felt the passion of volleyball and a piece to my puzzle had been found and I knew I had to pursue this sport. That leads up to today where I still put my heart and soul into volleyball through doing my best to be a caring and supportive teammate off and on the court as well as a dedicated athlete that my team can rely on rain or shine. Because although volleyball is an amazing sport sometimes the people you meet through it are just as incredible, and truly make the sport that much more incredible. And aside from being a dedicated athlete, I'm just as enthusiastic about my education and I am fascinated by the sciences and engineering as a whole. Along with this fascination and interest, I want to make a difference in science by using it to improve the world around me. With all that said I'm going to continue to work towards my goals to make them into my reality on and off of the court.
