Lindsey Grossman '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is Lindsey Grossman and I am from Albany, Oregon. I am a 5'11" outside hitter/opposite/setter. All of my life growing up I was a competitive dancer and I for sure thought that was what I wanted to pursue, but I was wrong. After 12 years of dance I tried volleyball for the very first time in seventh grade, and I absolutely fell in love with it. I love the fast pace game, team aspect and competitiveness. Volleyball has been a part of my life ever since and I know that this is what I want to do for the rest of my life. 

As I said, I love the team aspect of the sport. I love the brotherhood and trust that comes with being a teammate. I love pushing my teammates in a positive direction and looking for new ways to make myself and my team better. I am a film addict. You will always find me watching film from a previous practice or game. Watching film helps me learn from my mistakes and makes me a better athlete. 

I am determined to play volleyball at the collegiate level. Neither of my parents attended a four year university so I want to be the first in my family to succeed.  No matter what, I will make it. I will play volleyball at the next level.  I am a good candidate for your team because I am willing to do everything it takes for my team to win and I am fully committed to playing volleyball and improving every single day.
