Hi,
My name is Eden Taddei. I am a senior this year at Hollidaysburg Senior High and will graduate in 2018. I am currently maintaining a 3.8 GPA while being enrolled in some advanced and honors classes. I am planning on majoring in business with a focus on economics and finance.
I have been playing volleyball since I was in 4th grade and have loved it every day since. I also played basketball but stepped away from it going into high school to focus strictly on volleyball. I attended Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic High School in Altoona, Pa my freshman and sophomore years. While there I was the only freshman moved up to varsity where I played as a starter and lettered both years. My parents made an academic decision and transferred me into Hollidaysburg before the end of 10th grade due to the higher academic standards and classes. My junior season was capped off by a District 6 runner up and varsity letter while playing on a senior heavy team. I just recently finished my senior season with another District 6 Runner up. I am now moving on to our club season where I play for the Horseshoe Volleyball Club in Altoona, Pa. I have played with them for the past five years always playing on an older team. I have gotten to play in some great tourneys especially in State College, Pa at Penn State’s Happy Volley tournament as well as The Capital Hill Classic in Washington D.C.
I feel that I would not only make a great addition to your volleyball program, but to your school as well. I am very often described as being of great character, and being a hard worker. I strive and work to make myself better academically, athletically, and personally, but I also love to help make those around me better as well. I learned early playing with and behind girls that were older and physically bigger and better than me, that I had to work harder than they did to be where I wanted to be.
Everything that I have learned and experienced has taught me to work hard and to never settle. I try to make the most of every and any occasion I have to make myself a better student, player, and person. Thank you for your time and for allowing me the opportunity to tell you about myself, I would love to get the chance to show you in person.
Sincerely,
Eden Taddei
