Personal Statement
Hi, my name is Meghan, my friends call me Megs, but my team mates call me "Megatron" I would like to take the time for you to get to know me. I have played sports all my life, but volleyball is my passion. I am a very competitive athlete, striving for myself and my team-mates to be the best we can be. Maintaining a positive attitude towards my coaches, team-mates and myself, is very important in my overall development as a top player. I am very coachable and strive to be the hardest working player for my club and high school teams.
My goal as a player is to continue to play volleyball at the collegiate level and beyond. I want to keep volleyball in my life, by sharing my experiences and learned skills by coaching or helping others to develop their love for this game. I help coach the middle school volleyball team, in between my club volleyball and varsity track schedule.
I am active in my church youth group, helping with events, fundraisers, mission trips. I enjoy giving back to my small town community, and helping those who want and need help.
My field of study is parks and recreation/ resources, teaching physical education, and coaching. My dream is to eventually run my own volleyball club and or coach at a high school to possibly college level volleyball. Also coming from a military family, my dad served for 23yrs. in the Army National Guard, I may also pursue a military path. His sacrifice has had a quite a impact on my life and upbringing. In my college search, I'm open to all divisions. I would prefer to stay on the east coast, but would be flexible, choosing the best fit academically and athletically.
I want to thank you for taking the time to look at my profile, and getting to know me a little better. Hope to hear from you and show you that I could be a great addition to your team.
Jump High, Block Wide, Hit Hard, WIN!
