Personal Statement
My name is Reghyn Wilson and I am a ’23 Setter/Libero, attending Bishop McDevitt HS in Harrisburg, PA. My middle school started a volleyball program when I was in 6th grade, so I tried out and fell instantly in love with the sport. I am a 3-year Varsity starter with 6 years of club experience on National and Super Regional teams. I transferred to Bishop McDevitt as a Sophomore, when my family moved, and made Varsity as the starting Setter. As a Setter in my Junior year, I received All-Conference honorable mention, Junior of the Year award as well as that for Most Aces and Most Assists. This year I split my time between Libero and Setter, receiving 1st Team All-Conference as well as awards for Most Valuable Player and Most Digs. I am a versatile player and as Team Captain, I work hard to bring my team together through tough games. In my free time, I referee volleyball, play doubles, work out with my friends and love anything that involves dogs. At a young age, I learned how to overcome some medical issues which taught me a lot about who I am and what I want to be. I learned what it means to be physically and mentally strong and for that I am grateful. I am a black belt in Taekwondo, which made me appreciate discipline and taught me to dig deep when things are difficult. I love being part of a team and look forward to playing at the next level. I plan to pursue a degree in Nursing.
