My name is Becca Jackson I have been a starting middle hitter for my High School team since 9th grade, however, going into my Senior year I will also be playing as an outside hitter. I have been involved in sports since I was 4, starting with soccer, then in 5th grade, I began to play volleyball and basketball, as well as participate in track and field. As an athlete in a small school, I’ve learned to adapt to all types of situations when it involves my team’s work ethic and outcome throughout the season. Teamwork and trust are very important to me when it comes to any team I play on. I work hard at everything that’s thrown at me and I don’t give up when the game gets tough. This year I am taking a dual enrollment course and working part-time, in addition to a full course load at school and playing on my school team. Two years ago was my first year in club and despite the season being cut short, our team qualified to go to nationals, even though we were unable to go due to COVID. I did not play last year, again due to COVID issues, but I am hoping that we will be able to have a club season this year. This past summer I played in both Beach and Grass tournaments. I played Coed doubles with my cousin and feel that I developed more as an all-around player as a result.
