Personal Statement
My favorite volleyball memories to date happened my 9th grade season. First I made the varsity team as freshman this season and helped my Mountie team make the playoffs. We had alot of fun and grew as a team throughout the season. We lost our best player and competitor due to a season ending injury and were able to fight through and make the playoffs in a really good conference. That senior injured player remained with us the entire season and was our biggest fan. She taught me alot about being a great teammate!
Next I had the opportunity to compete with Relentless VBC 15 Gold national level team during club season. My team and I got to play in some really tough tournaments against very strong competition. We traveled all over the mid atlantic. One of my favorite tournaments was the Capitol Hill Classic in Washington DC. Not only did we compete against some of the east coast's best but my team and I got to travel around DC to visit and learn about our country's history. We also traveled to Orlando Fl to play in the AAU Nationals against the nation's best volleyball teams. We had a blast competing and learned alot from this expirience. For 6 months I got to travel and play with an awesome group of girls and coaches. We had our ups and downs but without a doubt we got better every time out and most importantly learned what team commitment is all about.
My volleyball goals and dreams are to remain commited, help my high school team compete for a state title, help my Relentless team compete for a national title, go to college and help compete for a national title at some level, get my degree, go to med school, become the best doctor and still help and teach young girls how to play volleyball. Best sport ever!
