Personal Statement
In fifth grade God blessed me with the amazing sport of volleyball. I played for two seasons on JV as an outside hitter and then, 7th grade year, I got pulled up to varsity as a setter. Being one of the varsity setters in 7th grade was definitely a scary and beneficial experience. I definitely progressed and matured in my skill and knowledge. I learned a lot about how important leadership and communication are on and off the court.
Volleyball has taught me that you can't do everything alone; you need others with you to support and encourage you. Being in a family group at Fuel (my youth group) has definitely helped me realize that. Also, I've learned how to be an impactful leader by doing debate and Student Leadership Institute. I've realized that it takes 100% all of the time, especially when it comes to family.
Being on a competitive team is definitely in my ideal future and I'll do whatever it takes to get there. Having experience in multiple sports, I have fully embraced the competitive and passionate side of myself. I'll bring energy and enthusiasm to any team that I'm on and I have what it takes to be a top competitor on a top team.
