Personal Statement

I am a 6' 2 " junior  who has a strong desire to play volleyball in college at the highest level possible. I currently play varsity volleyball for the largest high school in our state, Wando High School. We just recently won the 4A state championship game in November for the second year in a row.  This year I was named All Tournament at the A5 tournament in Atlanta as well as the WIT tournament in Charleston during my high school season. I was also named to the All State team. I have experience playing club ball for Carolina Islanders and MVP (Mount Pleasant Volleyball) as both a middle and a right side and have played a full season starting in both positions. I will be playing for MVP 18 Gold for the 2015-2016 club season.  My strengths are blocking and serving as well as hitting. In addition to volleyball,  I am also a 3rd degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and am a full instructor at my school. My other hobbies include cake decorating and drawing.

I would love to play for a big volleyball program at a school with an excellent academic reputation. I work hard to keep my grades up and I have a 3.8/4.0 GPA with my honors and AP courses.
