I am a 5'4" libero for the Burke/South Central cougars which is located west river in the south central region of South Dakota close to the Nebraska border. I have been raised on a farm north of Burke which has kept me busy and out of trouble. It has also taught me great work ethic.
I have broke my right wrist and I have not had to wear a brace or have had trouble with it since it got healed. I am involved in basketball, track, and softball outside of volleyball which keeps me in great shape. I also lift weights through out the whole year to become stronger and faster.
I am a sophomore at Burke High School I started last year as libero. As an 8th grader I had started jv. Last year my team made it to the regions game falling short in four sets. I have continued working in the off season to become faster, and stronger so that I can complete my dreams of playing at the college level.
I am considered a student-athlete which means the student part comes before being an athlete. I work hard in the weight room and on the court to up my performance, but I work even harder in the classroom to maintain my grades to the best of my ability. I am involved in student council, c-club, methodist church organization, and the A/B honor roll.
I have grown up with a volleyball in my hands. My mom was a coach for years. She has been the one to teach me what i know. I know after games that i can go and talk to her about it and she could tell me what I need to work on. When I get something to work on I could spend hours in the gym working on that till i can't do it wrong.
