I have played volleyball since I was in the sixth grade. If you could ever pick someone's sport to compliment a personality, volleyball would definitely be mine! I absolutely love the sport and am very dedicated to being the best that I can be at it. I am a very hard worker and never give up on anything that I try to do. This includes sports and academics. I have always been a team player and definitely don't have any problems being social. I am very easy too get along with. I always try to bring out the best in others and in myself, in sports or outside of sports. Playing volleyball for a college has always been one of my dreams since I was in Junior High. It has been one of my goals to get as high up in this sport as I possibly can and I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make this goal and dream of mine come true. My academics are a high priority to me. I work to maintain as high a GPA as I can. I am not afraid to ask for help if needed, whether academically or athletically. I am always striving to better myself and will welcome advice and pointers.
I workout in the gym during the off season, as we do not have club volleyball available to us in our area, as we are a very rural community. I also do some running to keep in condition. I am a member of the high school rodeo team and was crowned our Regional Rodeo Queen last year and then competed at the State level against 5 other girls. And while I was not crowned SD State High School Rodeo Queen, I was voted Miss Congeniality by the other girls. This involves more than most people realize, in the way of personal interviews, speeches, modeling, horsemanship drills, and written tests on the rules of the sport. This year I am also competing in rodeo at a professional level. I was a cheerleader both my Sophmore and Junior years in high school, and also in the 7th grade. I am active on the high school dance team, in the school plays and also compete in oral interp, and have done so all 3 years of high school. I am a member of the National Honor Society. I can and will work really hard to be considered as a part of your volleyball program and will commit to giving you 110%. Thank you for your time and consideration!
