Volleyball has not only been the sport I love but has also been a fundamental element in forming who I am as a person. Through the highs of volleyball, the championships and the dig you were able to get to that you couldn't last week, to the lows, losing the rival high school game and the constant tears of your skin on elbows and knees, it has taught me that life is also very much like this, but at the end of the day you enjoy every second. I began playing around 4th grade due to my best friend at the time asking me to. I honestly had no clue what volleyball was but cannot be more thankful I walked into the gym with polka dot knee socks and turtle shell knee pads and decided to keep playing. I played for a small program that taught the basics of the game. Eventually, we found out about club ball and decided to give it a try. I tried out for Kingsport Volleyball Club (KVC) non-travel team in 5th grade and was told I needed to try out for a travel team. This past year I ended my 5th year with the club and continue to play for Science Hill High School.
As far as high school and club volleyball goes I have been very fortunate to be apart of great programs that continue to get better each year. Academically, I am also apart of a fantastic school and hope to continue the greatness of both the volleyball programs and school into what college I play for. It is very important to me that I find a school that fits my academic needs as well as my athletic. I understand that student does come first in student-athlete and am very committed to my grades and the responsibility it takes to achieve those. I believe I have the talent, work ethic, coachability, and character it takes to play at the college level and benefit your program. I am always eager to learn and grow as a player and person outside of the gym and believe I can become an important element on your team!
