My name is Natalie Delaune, and it has been my dream to play at the collegiate level since I started playing volleyball. In the fifth grade, my close friend introduced me to the sport during club season, and I have been in love with it ever since. Since I started playing, I have been dedicated to becoming the best volleyball player I can be.
In college, I feel that I could be a very successful student-athlete. Many of my teammates would say that I am encouraging and I get into the game. My coaches have told me that I play all out, like I will never be able to play again, every time I step out on the court. My teachers have placed me in advanced classes and allowed me to peer tutor and I have participated in my school’s “tech team”, where I got to assist our school technology teacher in fixing the laptops that have problems. My parents would say I am a very determined person, and I know what I want in the future and I will drive until I achieve those goals.
For college, I want to be in a program where it feels like a family. The coaches are supportive and know the girls and who we each are as a person, and everyone involved is nice but will push us to be better people. I want a coach that supports me in every aspect of life and fellow players that will be friends for life. I would also like to get a scholarship. I feel that I could get an academic/volleyball scholarship. Again, I am a very dedicated person that is willing to push to the limit to play volleyball in college.
