I am honored and humbled to have received the "Eagle Pride Award" for the third consecutive season (freshman, sophomore and junior years). Each year this award is voted on by my incredible teammates, so I feel inspired to share what it represents:
Eagle Pride Is….
Pride is action, hard work, pushing oneself to the limit for the purpose of achieving a worthy goal.
Pride has class, treating other people, including opponents, with the utmost respect.
Pride refuses to be intimidated even in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds.
Pride is determination to contribute something positive to every endeavor in which one participates.
Pride uses setbacks as added fuel for increasing one’s effort.
Pride recognizes and affirms the success of others without any sense of discrediting oneself.
Pride is a committed effort to make one’s teammates look good. Pride refuses to let envy, jealousy, or petty differences poison the spirit of the team.
Pride values every significant relationship, including those with teammates, coaches, teachers and parents.
Pride produces strong loyalties.
Pride is preparing oneself mentally and physically for the task ahead.
Pride is enthusiasm for the challenge that lies ahead.
Pride is doing the right thing (even when no one is watching).
Pride does not complain or engage in negative criticism.
Pride is teamwork at its best, knowing that few, if any, significant things are ever accomplished alone.
Pride produces quality people on and off the court.
Thank you, Addi Haley
