Passionate: the word that describes my love for volleyball from on the court at my school and club, in the sand, or on the sidelines watching our local college team.
I want to play at the collegiate level while pursuing a degree in business at a school that is known as well for their high academics success as their volleyball programs. I believe playing both court and sand volleyball requires physical endurance, mental toughness and the ability to quickly make adjustments during the game and between each sport. These are all qualities that I have and am constantly working to improve upon.
I began playing court as a middle, moved to OH and am transitioning into the libero role for club while playing setter and OH for my middle school. I have loved the challenge of each position and the confidence my coaches have placed in me to move into each position and being named team captain for both club and school. My style of leadership is walking the talk, being positive and encouraging to the entire team and being dedicated to practices and extra training. I apply the same level of dedication to my classes, taking all pre-AP courses, being active in the DUKE TIPS program, the National Junior Honor Society and National Charity League.
