Personal Statement
My name is Trishelle Williams, and I am a Defensive Specialist/Libero, from Austin, Texas. In the future I would like to play at the collegiate level, playing the sport I’ve grown to love. I’ve been playing volleyball since the 7th grade, and maintaining high grades in school since then. Volleyball has taught me how to adjust quickly on and off the court, and that without communication nothing will go smoothy. I hope that my dedication for volleyball will inspire others and that my team’s accomplishments will grow with time. I value learning new things and being strategic while still playing to compete. I always try to motivate my teammates on and off the court and especially during the lows of a game. I’m good at adapting to different methods of coaching, and I always give 100% when given the opportunity to play volleyball. I am coachable and not afraid to put in the work to play at a higher level. Playing up a year on my club team for three years as an all-around outside gave me many opportunities to learn from not only my teammates but also the girls across the net. I play with the understanding that getting to participate in college sports is difficult and the effort has to be placed both in being a successful student and athlete.
