I am seeking a college program that believes in focus on the entire person and not just the athlete, a program that I can contribute things that I have been taught both as a person and an athlete. I am looking for a place that keeps me growing positively in character and in knowledge. I am searching for a not just a team, but a family with strong leaders where everyone has the same end goal in mind.
As an athlete, I played softball and basketball for most of my childhood, but when I was 12, I was introduced to volleyball. I instantly fell in love with it and ever since then have developed a competitiveness and passion for the game. I am determined to play college volleyball, and I am committed to do whatever it takes to get me there.
In 2018 I helped lead my club team (Attack 17 Black) to the Gold Championship in the Lone Star Classic Qualifier to earn a trip to the Junior National Championships in Detroit, MI.
I have played club volleyball since I was 12 and played up in the 13’s division. I played for TAV for 2 years and currently play for Attack Volleyball Club on the top team (18 Black). Playing with both of these clubs has allowed me the opportunity to face high skilled opponents while getting the best volleyball training their is. Playing with this level of teams has allowed me to experience a faster-paced game while holding myself to a higher standard.
As a student athlete on Azle High School’s varsity volleyball team, I have had the experience to play Varsity Middle Blocker and Outside Hitter as a sophomore, junior, and senior, as well as contributing backrow senior year.
I received several awards my sophomore, junior, and senior seasons:
2018 First Team All-District 7-5A Texas
2018 Varsity Offensive Player of the Year
2018 Varsity Team Captain
2018 Varsity MVP
2018 Academic All-District 7-5A Texas
2018 Academic All-State Texas
2017 Honorable Mention District 7-5A Texas
2017 Academic All-District 7-5A Texas
2017 Varsity MVP
2016 Academic All-District 7-5A
In school, I am a National Honor student and I take Pre AP and AP classes, along with college classes. I have an earned GPA of 4.0 and an unweighted GPA of 3.9/4.0.
I have been an active member of Azle’s student council and a volunteer with many community service actvities, both with and without my church youth group.
Thank you for reviewing my profile and I look forward to getting to know you, your school, and your volleyball program.
