Personal Statement


I am a 5'5" defensive specialist/libero from Brenham, TX and will graduate in the 2012 class. I have played on the varsity team since my freshman year. Now a senior and a team captain, I have leadership qualities that allow me to help my teammates in pressure situations. Each year, I have been a part of team performing at a high level. Over four years, we have been Regional Finalist(2008, final 8 in Texas), and for 2009 & 2010, back to back State Finalists. This season, 2011, we were district co-champions in one of the toughest districts in the state. I led the district in digs, 682 @ 5.2 per set. Currently I have a 4.0 GPA and am ranked 22 out of 378 students. I am searching for a college that will allow me to receive a good education while learning just as much on the court. Ideally, I would like to attend a school in the southern central part of the US, but I am open to other schools as well in any Division. A Christian atmosphere would be good, but is not necessary.
