Personal Statement
I would love to play competitive college volleyball while earning my college degree. I’m not certain on the degree I would like to earn, but I am thinking about veterinary medicine, zoology or marine biology. I know education is essential to my future success and I believe playing volleyball in college would help provide a number of different life skills that would help me achieve my goals.
I am a good all around, versatile player. For my club teams, I have played DS and setter. For my school teams, I have played setter, DS, and right side. I was awarded MVP this year for my high school team. I am a dedicated, hard-working, and passionate team player. I am motivated and I play with integrity. I‘m an encouraging teammate and coachable player.
I have been active my whole life starting out with gymnastics, horseback riding and barrel racing, involved in 4-H with my horses and dogs, cheerleading and volleyball. I have played volleyball for 7 years now, and decided going in to my sophomore year to stop other sports to dedicate my time and focus on volleyball. I am going in to my fifth year of club volleyball. I am not scared of hard work and I have found a successful balance between family, sports, and academics.
My love for volleyball is indisputable. I know it takes hard work, dedication, and passion to be successful at the college level. I believe I would be a great asset to any program.
