Personal Statement
My name is Payton Bell and I love volleyball. I play for Texas Image Volleyball Club on the 18 ASICS Black team. I have been playing outside hitter/middle blocker/right side hitter for the past 7 years, and compete as a six rotation player on both my club team and on the varsity team at Granbury High School. I was honored to have been selected to the All District Volleyball Team as a Freshman, Sophomore, Junior and Senior. Additionally, I was selected to the Texas All State team my Junior and Senior years and was honored as a Academic All State selection my senior year. My selection as an AVCA Phenom in 2017, 2018 and 2019 provided me with the opportunity to participate in Volleyball Performance Index testing at the Phenom Combines in Kansas City in 2017 and in Minneapolis in 2018. My VPI score is 556.9. I am a multi-sport athlete, also competing in beach volleyball on the National Team at P1 Volleyball, and as a goal keeper for the varsity soccer team at Granbury High School for my freshman and sophomore seasons. I am currently ranked academically 45th out of 487 students in my class graduating in 2020. Playing multiple sports for my High School and on club teams, along with maintaining a 4.3 GPA takes work and has taught me how to balance academics and athletics, but still have fun! I am a competitor. I work extremely hard on and off the court to bring my best to the classroom and to the court, always striving to better myself week over week. It is my desire to play at the collegiate level and to bring my intensity and love of the game to my teammates, coaches and fans.
