Personal Statement

My name is Kayla Janikula. I love the game of volleyball because it is fun to be a part of a team and has helped me learn more about myself.  I am highly competitive. I enjoy being challenged and surpassing my personal boundaries. One of the things I want in a school is a balance between academics and sports. Being a two sport athlete and a good student has taught me how to manage my time to be successful. I possess many leadership qualities such as good personal skills, a strong work ethic, and a drive to succeed. These qualities are what helped me become elected team captain for my school volleyball team and basketball team by my teammates.  My goal is to play in college, because I love the game. I am excited to pursue the next level of volleyball.
