Elizabeth Canady '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Elizabeth Canady, but I'm mostly known as Lizzie. I attend Clear Springs High School in League City, Texas where I play as middle hitter on the varsity team.  I also played on the 17's top team at GCVA  as a starting middle hitter as a 16 year old. I have been playing volleyball since i was in second grade and I've grown to love it more and more each year. I strongly believe in working hard to become a better player as well as a better teammate. During the past years of playing I was team captain because of my hard work as well as my positive and encouraging attitude on and off the court. As a result of my hard work I have had many opportunities to play up with 16, 17 and 18 year old teams multiple times as a starting middle hitter. I believe I am a very coach-able player for any team.  Throughout school I stay on top of my grades managing a 3.9 GPA and maintaining  straight A's.  Along with a passion for volleyball I strongly love being apart of the Krush Student Ministry at New Hope Church where I am a student leader. Being a part of the student ministry I truly enjoy helping others  grow strong in their faith as well my own faith growing stronger.  As a student ministry leader it is my passion to help, teach, encourage and love people in and out of the ministry.  I am looking forward to attending a college where I can be my best in the classroom and on the court. I am open to all options and hoping to find the right college fit for me as a student athlete.
