Personal Statement
I am Reegan Shoquist from Mansfield, Texas and I am 16 years old. I currently have a 3.92 GPA and am taking dual credit classes. I am 5’ 3” and 128 pounds. I have played sports since the age of 4 and have enjoyed numerous different sports. I have been involved in soccer, swimming, tennis, golf, 5Ks, gymnastics, competitive cheer, CrossFit, and club volleyball. My true passion is volleyball, though. I have played club volleyball in the North Texas Region since 2016 for Arlington Courts Elite (ACE) and 360 Volleyball Club. I started volleyball at age 10 and was selected to the top 11s team during my first club tryout. I have been a consistent contributor to our top traveling teams for the last 6 years. I have excelled as a DS I currently play Libero for my high school. Mansfield is a 6A school in North Texas. I feel my contributions to the team lead us to be competitive in all our games.
I plan to pursue a degree in engineering in college and I have a high desire to play volleyball at the collegiate level. Playing four years of volleyball in college is a true dream of mine. I love volleyball because of the competition, team bonding, and how I can directly contribute to team success.
I am open to playing at any level, but prefer to play at a small to medium sized school. Areas of interest are the Midwest, West, South and Southwest.
