Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Katy McMullin. I am a 2021 defensive specialist/libero and I'm a senior at Maypearl High School. I live by doing things better than the day before whether it involves athletics or academics. I tend to use my determined mindset a lot in everything I do. I also believe in showing yourself as a leader to inspire and motivate others in being the best individual they can be.
I have been playing volleyball for 6 years, and have grown to love and mature in this sport. I never let a ball drop without my body going after it and have goals before every match that I plan to meet with serving and passing. I have played with multiple club teams such as Ellis County Juniors, Bandits of Texas, ACE, and Texas Pistols. I have also been on the Maypearl varsity team for the past three years, two of which I have been a starter. I have named Honorable Mention, Second Team All-District (x2), Academic All-District (x3), and Academic All-State.
I strive to achieve my goal of majoring in Psychology/ Nursing and continue my volleyball career at the next level. I hope to show coaches what all I can bring to their team mentally and physically. I am very blessed to have the opportunity to be considered for the next level, and to know that it is all apart of God's plan for my life.
