A good teammate in my opinion is when their priority is the team and how they never think of themselves as #1 on the court , but as #2. My goals for when I go to college is getting to study medicine because I would like to pursue a career as a Doctor or Surgeon. Sports have always been a major part in my life because I feel that when I'm playing on or off the court it clears my mind from the stress or situations I'm going through. Volleyball allows me to enjoy playing a sport that I love. Playing for me is to learn and get new opportunities through my career as a player. When a player leaves the court they shouldn't feel any regret after the game because they should leave their 110% on it. I would make a good candidate on the team because I love the sport and I am passionate for volleyball. A different characteristic that separates me from the other recruits is that I am very hands on type of person and I have a big heart. I am actually getting to experience a medical mission trip this summer with my family in Peru which is where my parents originated from. I'm very fortunate for the things that I have so whenever I can give back I do, for example my sister has a website called Yael's closet which donates clothing and other items to kids in need in certain regions of Peru. My mom and I have decide that I can hopefully join the organization she has and make my own branch in it to raise money for equipment and medical supplies for the medical mission trips which I actually raised $5,000 when I first had the idea as my bat-mitzvah project.
