Personal Statement
Hi I am Lauren Miller. I am the youngest of two kids. I will be graduating in 2016 and my goal is to play for a successful volleyball program and major in Kinesiology/Sports Medicine. I have played multiple sports since I was 3 years old. The majority of the teams I played on consisted of boys so that I could push myself and become a better athlete. I narrowed down my sports to volleyball and basketball in 7th grade. I started playing club volleyball and AAU basketball. By 9th grade volleyball had won my heart.
I believe that if you put in hard work and believe in yourself you can accomplish anything that you put your mind to.
In my free time I love volunteering for National Charity League, I think it is important to give back to your community and help those who are less fortunate. I am also a part of Younglife, a nondenominational youth group. I am very excited this summer to go on a week long Wilderness hike with 11 other girls in Creede, Colorado.
I attend JJ Pearce High School, ranked in the top 50 schools in the state of Texas. I am involved in the Pre-AP and AP education programs. I am also a member of Students Against Destructive Decisions.
