Personal Statement
My aspirations for college is to be be a part of a volleyball program that represents unity and love for the sport. Having a family-like bond with a team is most important to me over anything. Being a part of a program that will support not only myself, but my teammates as well is one of my top priorities. I am a very much team-oriented person and will be everyone's number one fan. I always try to help my teammates where I can without stepping over any boundaries. Communication, especially in a sport where it is vital, is one of my strengths. Back in July of 2019, I had to get surgery for an unexpected bone tumor in my leg. Instead of focusing on the fact that I would be missing my first Varsity season and part of my club season, I focused on my recovery to come back stronger. I pushed through and was able to get back on the court sooner than the doctors anticipated. To this day, those months of recovery helped my mindset become the best it has ever been. Being able to support the people around me and get everyone back on a positive mindset is important to me.
