Ashley Selman '14 Recruiting Profile

I am a 18 year old, 6'0" senior middle hitter/blocker from Sherman, TX. I have three years of club experience, two years of Varsity experience, and was named New Comer of the Year for 2011 in my district. I have a 9'4" vertical approach jump. I am currently striving to improve my physical capabilities with a subsidized strength and plyometric program. I have a 4.0 GPA and I am currently on the Distinguished Graduation Plan for the state of Texas. I am looking for a college that will benefit me both athletically and academically. I am interested in pursuing a Kinesiology major with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology, in order to gain acceptance to a Physical Therapy program. I am open to all division levels and the Christian environment. I am open to any opportunity and I am confident that I will be an asset to both the athletic and academic programs of the university I attend. As an underclassman I have striven to lead by my example on the court and in the classroom, setting high standards for myself and others. I look forward to the appointed roles of leadership that I will soon be challenging my teammates for as an upperclassman. The constant direction my goals have provided as I have ascended through the different levels of play have served me well and will help me find the right university program with the right "fit".
