Personal Statement
Hi! My name is Ava Saltzgiver. I am a 5’7 setter/ds in the Weatherford High School class of 2021. I am graduating a full year early, which displays my determination to be a hard-working student athlete that goes the extra mile. My current GPA is 3.71. I plan to take the SAT and the ACT in the spring.
With beginning to play volleyball at the age of 10, I have learned so much about the sport, as well as myself. I’ve learned that nothing comes without hard work, to bounce back after you fall, and to find the good in all things. I have grown to understand the not just the physical demand of the sport, but also the mental game, which is so important to setters. I have a strong support system between my parents, my sisters, and my coaches. They have been dedicated to my success which drives me to set big goals and work hard to achieve them. I will bring energy to the team with my enthusiasm and personality!
